How It Runs on Xbox Series S
As a remaster of three older titles rather than a brand-new AAA release, the Trilogy runs comfortably on Series S’s hardware without the performance trade-offs you might see in a demanding current-gen title like GTA 6 (see our Series S vs Series X guide for how that comparison differs for a modern release).
The Rocky Launch, and Where Things Stand Now
The Trilogy’s initial 2021 launch was widely criticized for visual glitches and technical issues. Rockstar released multiple post-launch patches addressing many of these problems, and the current state of the games is considered significantly more stable than at release — though it’s worth checking recent reviews before buying if visual polish matters to you.
