Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of the most iconic games in Rockstar Games’ history. What starts as a fight to regain control of Grove Street eventually becomes a much larger journey across San Andreas. CJ travels between different cities and countryside areas while building businesses, completing missions and confronting enemies from his past.
GTA San Andreas Map
The San Andreas map is divided into three major cities and the surrounding countryside. Players can travel between Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, with rural areas, deserts, mountains, highways and small towns connecting them.
Los Santos is heavily inspired by Los Angeles, San Fierro draws inspiration from San Francisco, while Las Venturas is based on Las Vegas. Each area has its own atmosphere, landmarks, missions and activities.
Los Santos
Los Santos is CJ’s home city and the starting point of the game. Grove Street, the Ballas territory and many of the game’s early missions are located here.
San Fierro
San Fierro introduces a different environment filled with steep streets, industrial areas, docks and distinctive landmarks. CJ eventually establishes himself in the city as the story progresses.
Las Venturas
Las Venturas brings casinos, desert roads and a completely different atmosphere to the game. The city becomes an important part of CJ’s journey during the later stages of the story.
