GTA 6 Map — Leonida & Vice City

Grand Theft Auto VI takes players back to Vice City, but Rockstar is expanding the setting far beyond the familiar streets of the city itself. The game is set across the fictional state of Leonida, giving GTA 6 a much larger world to explore.

The map brings together busy city neighborhoods, highways, beaches, rural areas, waterways, and smaller communities. Rockstar has also shown locations that suggest the world will change considerably as Jason and Lucia move between urban and rural parts of Leonida.

GTA 6 Map Size

Rockstar has not published an official measurement for the total size of the GTA 6 map. Because of that, claims about the map being a specific number of square miles should be treated carefully. What we can say from the material released so far is that GTA 6 is designed around a large and varied world. The combination of Vice City, rural communities, wetlands, islands, highways, and other regions suggests that exploration will be a major part of the experience.Rather than focusing only on raw map size, the more interesting question is how much of Leonida feels alive. Rockstar’s trailers have already highlighted traffic, wildlife, crowds, businesses, vehicles, and changing environments across the state.

Will the GTA 6 Map Expand?

Rockstar has not confirmed every detail about how the map will evolve after launch. There has been plenty of speculation about additional areas and future updates, but fans should separate confirmed information from rumors and leaks. For now, the safest approach is to focus on locations Rockstar has officially shown or discussed.

Explore the GTA 6 World

The GTA 6 map is shaping up to be one of the game’s biggest attractions. From the neon-lit streets of Vice City to the quieter roads and wild landscapes of Leonida, the world appears designed to offer much more variety than simply another recreation of a major city.As Rockstar releases new trailers, screenshots, and official details, we’ll continue updating this page with confirmed locations and map discoveries.

Vice City

Vice City is the heart of GTA 6 and the most recognizable location in Leonida. While it draws inspiration from the Vice City players know from the 2002 game, Rockstar has rebuilt it for a modern generation.

The city appears to feature a mixture of downtown areas, residential neighborhoods, beaches, bridges, businesses, highways, and nightlife destinations. New technology and a larger scale should make Vice City considerably more detailed and interactive than its previous version.

Beyond Vice City

The world of GTA 6 isn’t limited to the city.

Trailers have already shown a variety of environments outside Vice City, including rural roads, marshland, small communities, coastal areas, and remote locations. These areas give Leonida a different feel from the dense urban environment and should provide plenty of space for exploration.

The transition between these locations is also important. Rather than feeling like separate levels, GTA 6 is expected to connect its environments into one continuous open world.

Important GTA 6 Map Locations

As Rockstar reveals more information, several locations have become particularly interesting to fans:
  • Vice City — The central metropolitan area of Leonida.
  • Leonida Keys — Tropical islands and coastal areas surrounding the mainland.
  • Grassrivers — Wetland territory that adds a very different environment to the map.
  • Port Gellhorn — A coastal area shown in Rockstar’s promotional material.
  • Mount Kalaga — A mountainous region that expands the variety of Leonida’s landscape.
  • Ambrosia — An industrial and rural area connected to the wider Leonida world.

Some locations have been identified through official footage and promotional material, while others may become clearer as Rockstar releases additional information.
